MEASURE YOUR FEET

Place a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall. Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe with a pen, keeping the pen slightly angled (see image). Measure the distance from the edge of the paper at the wall to the mark. This is your foot length. Compare it to the centimetres column in the size chart to find your size. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement. We recommend measuring in the afternoon, as feet expand slightly throughout the day. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one.

UK sizes, standard E fitting

John Lobb shoes are built on elegant lasts with a close fit. Many customers find they take half a size smaller than in other English makers, but this varies by last.

Full size guide

The Lopez has been in John Lobb's collection since 1950, one of the longest-serving penny loafers in production anywhere. Built on the 4395 last with a generous round toe and high-walled silhouette, it carries a shape that predates and will outlast every trend that has come through menswear since.

The rough-out leather uses the reverse side of the hide, leaving the fibrous surface exposed. The result is a naturally water-resistant texture that develops character with wear and handles rough conditions better than smooth leather. Rubber sole. Handmade in Northampton, England.

Care: Brush with a stiff brush to remove dirt. Apply a wax-based waterproofing treatment periodically. The rough-out surface is naturally water-resistant. Insert shoe trees after each wear.
